Welcome to 2408 Borden Army Cadets

Do you have what it takes?

If you are between the ages of 12 and 19, and live in Borden, Angus, Alliston, Cookstown, Innisfil, Lisle, New Lowell, South Barrie and surrounding Areas, than 2408 Borden Army Cadet Corps is waiting for you. We are open to all youth (boys and girls). You don't have to have military parents or live on the Base.

Training begins in September (Thursday after Labour Day). However, you can join at anytime throughout the training year once you have reached your 12th Birthday.

Cadets participate in a variety of challenging and rewarding activities, and learning more about the Canadian Forces. Cadets are not part of the Canadian Forces, nor is there any expectation for them to join the military. They are encouraged to become active, responsible members of their communities.

Cadets learn valuable life and work skills like teamwork, leadership, and citizenship. Cadets also reap the personal benefits of increased self-confidence and physical fitness, learning how to take initiative, and how to make decisions. Some activities are: Marksmanship; Map & Compass; Field and Bushcraft; Survival Skills; Sports & Fitness; Travel opportunities; Leadership/Citizenship and many more fun and rewarding activities.
